Parental involvement is of utmost importance, this will promote a good understanding between parents, guardians, the teachers and the school.

 

There will be Parent-Teacher consultation evenings during the year. This is to enable regular monitoring of your child’s progress.

 

School Hours:

¨ Supervision from 6:45

¨ Children must be at school by 7:45 especially Grade R students.

¨ Half day ends at 12:00

¨ Aftercare starts from 12:00 - 17:00

¨ If your child is collected after 17:15 a fine of R100 will be implemented (paid on the spot).

 

Packing a Lunch:

¨ Please ensure that your child has the following packed for a nutritious lunch:

A juice bottle (no fizzy drinks, stay away form red or green juice)

Two slices of bread (cutting the bread into shapes helps make it interesting to eat)

Yogurt

Fruit

¨ As a parent you will know if your child needs more or less, but the above will be sufficient up till 14:00.  If your child stays to 17:00 add extra bread, fruit or yogurt

¨ Please - no sweets are allowed..     

 

Homework Books:

¨ A Homework book will be provided for information between and school.

¨ Please check these books everyday to ensure that you have all the important information needed.

¨ Please feel free to communicate with your child’s teacher through this book.

OUR PERSONALIZED SYSTEM

Assembly takes place every Monday from 8:00– 8:45.  Parents are welcome to attend

No visitor is allowed in the Learning Centre without first reporting to the front office.  This is to ensure the safety of our learners and staff.

 

There will be a Parents evening once a term.  This will normally be held on the first day of each term – keep your diaries open.

It is vitally important that you attend these meetings as important decisions are made.  Reports will also be handed out during these meetings.

 

It is compulsory for parents to attend Parent Orientation Day (once-a-year),  meetings and conferences so they can familiarize themselves with the methods and procedures of ACE. This is also to promote a good understanding between parents, guardians, the teachers and the school.

Core Curriculum:  (Mathematics, English, Afrikaans, Social Studies, Science, Literature, Word Building)

 

The ACCELERATED CHRISTIAN EDUCATION PROGRAMME is designed to facilitate learning through self-instructional materials requiring a minimum of adult supervision, while enabling a student with varying abilities to advance academically. 

 

ALETHEIA-DEO Five Laws of ACE Philosophy:

 

The pupil must be on a level of curriculum where he can perform

The pupil must set reasonable goals,  which he can achieve, in a prescribed period of time

The pupil must be controlled and matured to the point where he/she assimilates uses or experiences the material

The pupil’s learning must be measureable

The pupil’s learning must be rewarded

AFTERCARE FACILITIES:

 

Each day from 15h00 there is Aftercare for our leaners.  During this time they do homework and also have free time in which they can play or watch a movie.
